By downloading, installing, or using the RideRunHike mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms apply to all users of the App, including without limitation users who are browsers, hikers, trail runners, or contributors of content.

2. Description of Service

RideRunHike is a mobile application that provides:

• GPS tracking for outdoor activities
• Trail and park discovery and information
• Emergency alert system
• Offline map capabilities
• Activity tracking and statistics
• Community features and reviews

The App is designed to enhance your outdoor experiences but should not be relied upon as your sole safety measure.

3. User Accounts

Account Creation

You may be required to create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete information
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

Account Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality

5. Safety and Emergency Features

The App includes safety features such as emergency alerts and location sharing. You acknowledge that:

• These features are not a substitute for proper safety planning

• You are responsible for your own safety during outdoor activities

6. Privacy and Data

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

By using the App, you consent to:

• Collection of location data for app functionality
• Sharing of location data in emergency situations

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

• Loss of profits, data, or use

• Damages from emergency situations

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App, if any.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Your outdoor activities and related risks

12. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with third-party services such as:

• Google Maps and Apple Maps

• Emergency services

These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the App ceases immediately
• We may delete your account and data
• Provisions of these Terms that should survive termination will remain in effect

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where our company is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Posting the updated Terms in the App
• Sending you an email notification
• Displaying a prominent notice in the App

Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
